Website maintenance & support
Our website maintenance services keep WordPress and WooCommerce sites updated, backed up, secure and online, whether we built your site or someone else did. You get tested updates, off-site backups, uptime and security monitoring, hosting that is looked after, and a real person who makes your content changes. Plans run monthly or annually, so the routine work never lands on your desk.
Pricing: Monthly plansMonthly or annual plansHow pricing works

Every month
The exact scope depends on your plan, but these are the areas every plan looks after, for WordPress sites and WooCommerce stores alike.
WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, checked on a staging copy first where the site warrants it, so an update does not take your site down.
Regular backups stored away from your server, so a bad day does not cost you your whole website.
Malware scanning, login protection, SSL checks and prompt patching of vulnerable plugins.
Uptime monitoring with alerts, plus periodic checks on page speed, forms and broken links.
New pages, updated prices, team changes, banners and photos. Send them over and we make them, within the editing time in your plan.
A short summary of what was updated, backed up, fixed and changed, so you know the work is being done.
Hosting
Slow, overloaded hosting causes problems that no amount of maintenance can fix. We can include managed WordPress hosting in your plan, or maintain your site on the reputable host you already use.
If your current hosting is holding you back, we plan the move: copy the site, test it on the new server, then switch at a quiet time. We keep your email running throughout, and if you want to move mail as well, our business email setup service covers that. Hosting, domain and SSL renewals stay in your business's name, with reminders before anything is due.
When things go wrong
A hacked WordPress site, a white screen after an update or an expired SSL certificate needs fixing today, not next week. We handle hacked WordPress site repair for clients on a plan and for new clients who need urgent help.
We remove the malware or error, check files and the database for anything left behind, and restore from a clean backup where one exists.
Outdated plugins, weak passwords and abandoned extensions are the usual way in. We update, remove or replace them, and reset access.
We help request removal of browser or search warnings once the site is clean, then put monitoring and backups in place to reduce the chance of it happening again.
Handover
You do not need to have built your site with us. Taking over website maintenance from another developer starts with finding out exactly what you have.
We confirm the domain, hosting and admin accounts are in your name, and help you recover any that are not.
We review WordPress and plugin versions, backups, security, speed and hosting, and send you a plain-language list of issues.
Anything risky, such as outdated plugins, missing backups or an expired certificate, is fixed first, as agreed with you.
Your site moves onto a monthly or annual plan, with updates, backups, monitoring and content changes from then on.
Plans
Maintenance is sold as monthly or annual plans, invoiced in advance. The right plan depends on your site: a brochure website needs less than an online store, and some businesses want more editing time or faster attention. If you prefer a yearly arrangement, an annual plan works like a website AMC, with the year's scope agreed up front. For a full checklist of what a plan should cover, and what to compare between providers, read what a website maintenance plan should include.
Hosting can be included or kept separate. Larger changes, such as new sections, redesigns or new features, are quoted separately so your plan stays predictable. Our pricing page explains how every service is charged, and for sites built on WordPress, our WordPress development team handles the bigger work.
FAQ
Keeping WordPress core, themes and plugins updated, regular backups, security checks, fixing things that break, and small content changes. We agree the exact scope and monthly or annual fee with you up front.
Maintenance is available as monthly or annual plans. Yes. Every maintenance plan can be taken monthly or annually. An annual plan works like a website AMC: the scope, content-editing time and hosting arrangements are agreed in writing for the year, and the plan is invoiced in advance.
Yes. We start with a quick review of the site's health (outdated plugins, backups, security, speed) and tell you what needs fixing before we take it on.
Usually, yes. If the domain and hosting accounts are in your business's name, we help you recover access through the registrar and host, then take over the website from there. If they were registered in the developer's name, we guide you through getting them transferred to you. Our guide on who should own your domain and website explains why this matters.
Yes. We remove the malware or fix the error, restore from a clean backup where one exists, update everything, and close the gap that let it happen. Message us on WhatsApp with your website address for the fastest response.
Yes. Stores need extra care because an update can affect checkout, payments or stock. Where appropriate, WooCommerce and extension updates are tested on a staging copy first, and orders and payment gateways are checked after changes. See our WooCommerce development service for new stores and larger changes.
It can. We maintain sites on most reputable hosting, but very cheap or overloaded hosting often causes slow pages and downtime that no maintenance plan can fix. If your hosting is the problem, we'll tell you, and we can move your site to a better setup while keeping your email running.
